It’s Positive Workplace Week where we acknowledge and celebrate all that is great about our culture at Western Health.

It’s a time to come together to acknowledge everyone’s efforts over the past year with special lunches, singing, visits from furry friends, walkabouts with senior leaders and the annual INSPIRE Awards.

We will also be releasing our 2021-2023 Positive Workplace Framework, a roadmap to ensure our people remain safe, healthy and happy.

Our framework is founded on three essential pillars – our future, our pathways and our people.

These pillars enable our values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect Excellence and Safety to be practiced every day in every team.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your incredible commitment to making Western Health such a wonderful place to work.

Have your say

Complete the People Matter Survey 2022.

Tell us what we do well and what we can improve upon. There are plenty of prizes to be won weekly.

Check how your team is faring in the Great Response Rate Race on the survey scorecard.

A final word

Lastly, but not least, I’d like to leave you with one small but powerful step we can all take today to  enhance our positive culture.

Try to find ways to acknowledge and give positive feedback to your colleagues or team.

There are so many benefits.  You can make someone feel noticed and worthwhile and you might even make their day!

Positive feedback and acknowledgement also ensures people understand that they are doing a good job, builds positive relationships and generates a sense of accomplishment and motivation.

Keep an eye out of our top tips on computer screensavers and the Westerly.
