Joe is an Ethiopian-Australian comedian who just wrapped up shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Perth Fringe World.

Born in Ethiopia as Tilahun Hailu, Joe and his family moved to Australia as refugees when he was a child. Growing up in Australia, he’s experienced love, heartbreak, failure and success. Always trying to find the upside in life has been his inspiration for pursuing comedy.

Joe’s a previous award winner of Fringe World alongside Tom Gleeson and Tim Ferguson in 2019, and recipient of The West Australian Comedy Choice Award in 2021.
