Western Health staff members are being given a unique opportunity to help create feasible and sustainable support strategies for healthcare workforce wellbeing.

The new co-design project is designed to support psychological wellbeing and sustainability among staff by collaborating with them to develop new initiatives and refine existing ones.

As part of this process, we are working closely with Deakin University to facilitate workshops with our staff.

Western Health staff are invited to participate in two workshops at The Italia Club, Furlong Road, St Albans (10am– 3:30pm): Wednesday 31 August and Monday 3 October 2022.

The purpose of these workshops is for staff members to collaboratively discuss and plan initiatives to support the psychological wellbeing of Western Health staff moving forward during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.  The workshops will be run by experienced facilitators.

We are accepting expression of interests for participation, from staff members across all cohorts, levels and sites.

Staff members will be eligible to participate if they have been working at Western Health (including the former Djerriwarrh Health Service) for at least two years, and can attend both workshops.

Expressions of interest are open until COB Friday 15 July.

Please consider participating in this initiative. You can submit your expression of interest here.

Participation is voluntary and if you want more information, please contact Dr Karen Wynter from the Deakin University – Western Health Partnership: karen.wynter@deakin.edu.au or 92468431.
