Meeting Room Bookings During EMR Go-Live Period

As recently announced by Western Health’s Chief Executive, the EMR Go-Live will be implemented in a staged rollout to commence on the 9th of July 2023 at Williamstown Hospital. Other Western Health sites will follow in a staged approach so that the Go-Live is complete by mid-July:

1. Williamstown Hospital
2. Footscray Hospital
3. Sunshine Hospital
4. Joan Kirner Women’s and Children and Sunbury Day Hospital

To ensure a smooth and successful “Go-Live”, an EMR Support Centre will be set-up at each site. This will require the use of specific rooms suitable to that purpose. I regret that existing bookings for those rooms for this brief period will need to be cancelled. I sincerely hope this does not affect too many people but the Go-Live is an absolutely critical event and needs the support of everyone to ensure its success.

Again I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. As in all things, these measures are ultimately about patient safety.
