Staff COVID-19 vaccination clinics

Following the recent announcement about expanded eligibility for a fourth COVID-19 vaccine for adults aged 30 and over, the West Metro Vaccination Program team will be running staff vaccination clinics across all Western Health sites.

All staff aged 30 and over are encouraged to get a fourth dose as soon as possible. The interval recommended between a third dose (or a recent COVID-19 infection) and a fourth dose is now three months.

The walk-in clinics will be held at the following locations this week, you do not need to make a booking.

Sunshine Hospital, ground floor of the Western Centre for Health Research and Education. Tuesday 19 July, 10am – 3pm

Victoria’s Chief Health Officer updated the fourth COVID-19 vaccination recommendations last week, following advice from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI)

While a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandated for healthcare workers at this stage, we highly recommend it for staff who are eligible. Vaccination is one of our most powerful tools for keeping our patients, our families, our communities – and ourselves – safe during the ongoing pandemic.
