MOCK NSQHS Accreditation Survey is being held between 5 – 8 June 2023. This Survey has been organised to:

  • Get a health check by an experienced Accreditation Surveyor on how well we provide Best Care against the Accreditation Standards.
  • Test some of our communications and last minute actions required when a real short-notice NSQHS Accreditation Survey is announced

A MOCK NSQHS Accreditation page on the Live Best Care site is your one stop shop for information on the Mock Survey. This page contains FAQs to help you understand what will happen during MOCK NSQHS Accreditation Survey, the Survey Timetable, and tools to support you through the Survey.

Just one external Accreditation Surveyor will be involved in our MOCK Survey. Ros Pearson is a very experienced ACHS Accreditation Surveyor who also runs a consultation service to support health services prepare for Surveys.

During a real Accreditation Survey, Surveyors will be visiting all clinical and clinical support areas, and may visit a range of corporate areas as well. During our MOCK Survey, there won’t be time for our Surveyor to visit all areas.

Access the Mock Accreditation Timetable through the MOCK NSQHS Accreditation page  to check if there is specific day and time scheduled for the Surveyor to visit your area(s), and inform staff rostered for that day. If no specific day and time scheduled for a visit to your area(s), the Surveyor may still visit other areas if time permits. Staff may also be asked questions by the Surveyor outside of their area.

All services are however requested to use the Accreditation Survey clinical and non-clinical service checklists available through the MOCK NSQHS Accreditation page to practice using these tools.

Please also feel free to contribute to Mock accreditation survey communications by using this meeting background for any online meetings you attend between now and end of mock survey.

Good luck and remember the best way you can approach a mock or real accreditation survey is to show Accreditation Surveyors you live best care everyday, everywhere, every time.

Best Care is care that is person-centred, co-ordinated, safe and right for each patient/consumer’s needs.
