Session date: May 19, 2022
  12:00 pm  –   12:30 pm

This session will aim to provide a respectful, entertaining and informative discussion around the themes for the week:

Using (gender) pronouns – why they’re important not only for those who identify as part of the LGBTIQ community but for everyone in a safe and welcoming health service.
Understanding Gender Identity – What is gender identity and why does it matter to health services?  How can we create a culture where everyone’s experience and expression of their gender identity (and how they want to be addressed/treated), is not only respected but embraced.

About your hosts

Kirsty Webeck
Kirsty wins hearts everywhere she goes with her upbeat and relatable brand of comedy that is often described as playful, light-hearted and fun. A gifted storyteller, she has a natural ability for turning the mundane into the hilarious and has quickly become one of the most popular Australian comedians in the industry.

In 2022 Kirsty is touring her brand new show ‘Silver Linings’ including performances at The Street Theatre, Canberra, Gluttony at Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne Town Hall for Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Reuben Kaye

Imagine if Joan Collins, Tim Curry and Meow Meow all dropped a stack of narcotics and had an orgy… Now roll it in jewels and bathtub gin and you’re halfway there.
After appearances on Channel 4 and on BBC’s You’re Fired, multi-award winning, Australian comedian, singer and self proclaimed part-time hood ornament Reuben Kaye is the danger man to watch.  Kaye is fast, on the edge and brutally funny.
An explosion of sequins, lashes and teeth, a much needed, hysterically funny, swarovski studded revolt against the ever narrowing views of an increasingly conservative world. Reuben Kaye is what happens when you tell your children they can be anything.
