Valuable staff time is currently expended on developing manual reports of metrics, leading to inconsistencies in data visualisation across the organisation, and limiting time staff have available to use this data to inform future improvement.

The Western Health Dashboard Project is an opportunity to consolidate, simplify, and visualise the reporting functionality through Power BI Service.  The Dashboards will be viewable at different levels (Executive, Director, Operational Manager, Line Manager) with the relevant viewing privileges, will incorporate data across the 4 overarching domains of Access & Flow, Finance & Resources, People & Culture, and Quality & Safety, and will be flexible in design to include metrics relevant to the specific area. The dashboards will be as close to real-time as possible and metrics will align with the Western Health 2021-23 Strategic Directions and 2020-23 Best Care Action Plan.

This project will enable business with the right tools that will drive clinical outcomes, staff collaboration, business efficiencies, and visibility to analyse key performance indicators. The Dashboards will support staff with the provision of Best Care and optimise the responsiveness of the health service to the growing needs for the future people of the west.
