At the end of next week, on Sunday 9th July, we will commence the EMR Phase 2.1 Go-Live at the Williamstown Hospital Emergency Department.

As we continue our countdown to this Go-Live, please find attached Number 2 in the Nursing & Midwifery Top 10 – Device Integration.  EMR device integration, and the transmission of health care details directly into the patient’s record, will enhance nursing and midwifery access to information.

As we are now quite close to the Go-Live commencement, if you haven’t yet completed EMR Phase 2.1 training (either WeLearn or a classroom session), please plan for when you will do this over the coming days.

  • An online WeLearn package does not need to be completed in the one session, it will save as you progress through and can be returned to at a later time.   A package can also be completed a second time, or more, to further enhance understanding.
  • When you have completed training, please remember to tick the Final Acknowledgement box to ensure your training completion is recorded.
  • If you work across different specialties there may be multiple WeLearn packages relevant to you.  If you have any queries regarding which package to complete please contact – WHS-EMRTrainers@wh.org.au

Once you have completed training, please practice in the EMR Practice Environment to help further increase understanding.

  • To access the EMR Practice Environment, obtain the role specific Username and Password from the Super Users in your area and then follow this guide  (also attached) to login

It’s great to see the Nursing & Midwifery Top 10 poster series displayed across the EMR sites to enhance visibility of this information.  If you are missing printed copies of any of these posters please contact Kylee Ross – Kylee.Ross@wh.org.au
