After months of diligent work and collaboration, the Modern Workplace project team launched a dynamic and user-friendly intranet for all staff to access on 22 January 2024.  

The new intranet is now live and available at https://westernhealth.sharepoint.com

The new intranet can be accessed securely on all devices (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone) via your @WH email address, allowing easier access when working remotely. The intranet will integrate seamlessly with a suite of Microsoft 365 applications being rolled out in 2024 as part of the Modern Workplace program, better-enabling staff to collaborate, communicate and share information in one place.

If you haven’t already, please:

  • Bookmark the URL for quick access
  • Refer to the attached Intranet Guide for quick tips on logging in, navigating the site, technical support and resources like M365 Learning Hub.
  • Talk to your manager if you need additional support about the new intranet/SharePoint.

All relevant content from Inside has been migrated to the new intranet, and content authors from each department have gradually been completing training to update department and services pages on the new intranet. 

Intranet training for all staff 

A short training module has been designed for all staff to navigate and understand the new intranet system. This training is now available on WeLearn (click on Western Health Employees option to be taken directly to the training), and all staff are encouraged to complete this the end of February 2024. 

We appreciate that technology changes are not easy for everyone to embrace. At Western Health we invest in our systems and our people and multiple training activities, and self-service learning systems are available to support staff through these digital changes.
