We are delighted to announce the winners of the highly contested 2023 Western Health Department Decorations Competition.
With an unprecedented number of nominations for this prestigious festive event, it certainly has made the judging panel’s decision extremely difficult.
It has been very pleasing to see the effort teams have undertaken to plan, prepare and present their departments Christmas cheer.
Many departments have been mindful of Western Health’s commitment to the environment with a strong emphasis on upcycling. This was evident in wards/departments use of recycled medical products, paper and many other items.
We are very pleased to announce the following winners;

- 2nd Prize Ward 1A
- 3rd Prize Theatre JKWC
Honourable mentions go to:
- OT Hand Therapy for their focus on sustainability and the reuse of scrap/expired thermoplastic splinting materials
- Western Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.
