It was wonderful to celebrate the high caliber of nurse and midwife-led research being undertake at Western Health during Research Week. This year the Nursing & Midwifery Research session will be held on Thursday 16 October 2025 between 2:00 – 4:00pm in the Sunshine Hospital Auditorium and online.
We will also be bestowing our annual Nursing & Midwifery Research Grants at the session. Come along to hear from your colleagues on the fantastic nurse-led and midwife-led research being undertaken here at Western Health.
Nursing & Midwifery Research Grants:
Each year the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery seeks applications from Western Health staff for grant funding to undertake dedicated nursing and/or midwifery research.
There are two Nursing & Midwifery Research Grants awarded each year:
- Nursing Research Grant ($15,000)
- Midwifery Research Grant ($15,000)
These are exciting opportunities for nurses and midwifes to be innovative, lead research and contribute to an improvement in practice and better patient outcomes.
These Nursing & Midwifery Research Grants are bestowed annually during Research Week, at the Nursing & Midwifery Research session.
