  • Two staff grants now available

    Applications now open!

The Western Health Foundation is excited to announce two grants are now open for applications. These grants have been donated by our generous corporate partners BankVic and Plenary, who continue to support the Western Health team.

The first grant being offered is a $20,000 Research Grant by BankVic. This is to help support the initiation of new research or provide additional support to an existing project. Applications are open to all Western Health researchers who are employees of Western Health and will be considered from all health-related disciplines.

Secondly, we have the $7,000 Innovation Grant being offered by Plenary to support and enable innovation in the clinical and non-clinical space. This may be used towards equipment, a project or other initiative that can progress innovation in our services. Funded by Plenary this grant reflects their interest in innovation in healthcare as part of the New Footscray Hospital Project.

Both grants will be going through an expressions of interest process and further information is available here. Applications close 5pm, Wednesday 30 November and shortlisted projects will be notified directly.

Click the links below to apply.

Once again, we’d like to thank BankVic and Plenary for their generous support of the Foundation and Western Health staff.

  • Waste Management for our office spaces - recycle responsibly!

At Western Health, we are committed to managing waste in an environmentally responsible manner. To reduce waste we are implementing a new waste management approach for office spaces across the organisation. Between November 8th to 18th, all waste bins (mini bins) at desks will be removed from office areas and replaced with a central red collection bin for general waste.

The good news is that this small change to our office spaces will make a big impact and prevent further damage to the environment. To help us make this impactful change, use the red bin to dispose general waste. Our recycling process remains the same, for all other recycling waste please use the correct recycling bins.
