A vibrant showcase of artworks now lines the hoarding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Unit at Sunshine Hospital thanks to students at the neighbouring Jackson School.

To celebrate the installation of the artworks, and recognise the contribution by the students, Lendlease hosted a morning tea and tour for Jackson School staff and students, alongside Western Health and the Victorian Health Building Authority.

Helena McAloon, Leading Teacher of Engagement at Jackson School said the students were given a brief around the themes of mental health and wellbeing and enjoyed creating the artworks.

“The students had such a great time making them and I am really pleased to hear people have liked the work,” Helena said.

Staff driving in and out of the Sunshine site are able to enjoy the colourful artworks along the internal ring road.

The group of students, ranging from Year 4 up to Year 10, have watched the construction of the new facility take shape from their school grounds, and were excited to see a time lapse video of the modular construction take shape alongside aerial images of their own school grounds.
