Words from Russell – Appointment of Chief Operating Officer (COO)

It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of John Ferraro as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Western Health.

John joined Western Health in August of 2021 in the role of Deputy Executive Director, Operations and as Acting Executive Director, Operations since January 2022.   As Acting Executive Director, Operations John has been responsible for the core operations of Western Health, including clinical services across acute, subacute, community-based settings, ancillary support and the Western Public Health Unit.  During this time, Western Health experienced a COVID Code Brown as well as many challenges associated with the COVID Pandemic, along with the increased demand on our services and staff.

I am sure you will join me in congratulating John, who will commence this role effective 25^th July 2022, on this great achievement.
