Advancing Best Care Week starts next Monday, running every day until Sunday 13 November.

The Best Care Governance and Support Division (formerly Division of Quality, Safety and Patient Experience) has a packed calendar of events in store for us, showcasing its range of services and resources regarding health service accreditation, patient feedback, clinical incident management, improvement and quality systems supporting Best Care.

Get to know the team at information stalls during the week or engage with them during their in-person roaming or online drop-in sessions. There will of course be freebies on offer when you visit the stalls and with the roaming teams.

Team members are ready to tell you more about key changes, the new document management system PROMPT, revised processes for incident management and consumer feedback, what’s involved in preparing for the 2023 Accreditation Survey for compliance to the National Safety and Quality for Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, and more.

The roaming and online drop-in sessions provide a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have, request a demonstration of the systems or provide feedback.

Team members will be roaming sites during ABC Audit Day on Tuesday with special giveaways. ABC Audit Day takes place in all in-patient areas at Footscray, Sunshine, Williamstown and Bacchus Marsh Hospitals and Emergency Observation Units at Footscray and Sunshine.

Finally, don’t forget to join us at the Best Care Awards at 2pm Friday 11 November to help us celebrate individuals and teams recognised for the high-quality care they provide.
