We’re marking Crazy Socks 4 Docs this year with a series of short conversations with colleagues on the topic of prioritising our mental health and wellbeing, and providing support to one another.

First up, we hear from our Chief Medical Officer Dr Nicki Murdock, joining us remotely from Queensland.

Nicki shares some of the strategies she uses to manage her own mental health and wellbeing, and provides a personal reflection on just how important it is to reach out to someone who is struggling with their mental health.

Don’t forget to wear your crazy colourful socks this Friday.  pose with your colleagues and get your picture taken by our roving photographers to be in the running for some prizes.

A reminder to everyone that if you or your colleagues are ever feeling distressed or in need of support, please visit our intranet for health and wellbeing resources including contact information for Caraniche at Work, Western Health’s Employee Assistance Program that provides a free and confidential counselling service for staff.

Kind regards

Abi
